Default 2004 Honda Civic Ex D17A2 Turbo

So Ive been looking into turboing my 2004 honda civic ex. I've read many different forums and posts about it and some recommend doing an engine swap with a k20 and others say D17's work well enough and its cheaper. Pretty much I'm looking for opinions on the two and why

This has been covered several times. Its all down to what you're trying to achieve.

I realize that this subject has been covered several times. I read through some of the other threads. I'm wanting to get my civic to about 260-300hp area and I'm wondering if it's replace parts here and there to achieve that or if it's a full rebuild with a turbo. As far as the turbo goes what would be a good turbo to throw on a sohc

I already have headers intake and the full exhaust line done with a high flow cat and high flow muffler

I'm looking at a t3/t4 turbo or a garret turbo, something like this seems like it could work http://www.procivic.com/pages-produc...505/index.html

From the FAQ's:
Turbo Basics: Link
Turbo Basics (non-chassis specific): Link
305whp Turbo Buildup: Link
The Turbo Basics thread covers many options out there for the basic turbo install (as the thread title implies).

PS. You've only got one header, and none of those bolt-ons are giving you any real performance gain.
