If any of you guys have a gredy turbokit, please tell me what you think and what were your gains like?

 

I dont have a Greddy kit but I saw a post about one recently. Arturbo and DIRep972 installed one for FredoSP. Here is what Art said.

My thoughts of the greddy kit is that they are the best quality kit I have ever seen. Granted they come with a small turbo and dont put out the most power, but they are made so good. I had no idea this turbo kit was a very much true bolt on kit. It even uses stock holes to mount the IC and piping!! I fell in LOVE with this kit and if you are looking for something to give you a little pull in you ride with out the peak HP, I would recomend this kit.

Sounds like a Greddy ad. I think they owe Art money now.

I'm running the sohc greddy kit. I'm only at stock boost right now which puts me at 130-140 whp (im guessing). If you're looking to get real power, then this kit is not for you. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the kit cause my goal is only 200 whp. At least for now . What motor this kit's going into?

 

i use to have greddy 18g kit before and i loved this kit whit plenty of low end thorque and fast spool up
you will love the kit for street (good for 350hp max)
but if your goal is high hp350 whp+ like i do dont buy this kit you will regret it!get a custom kit like inlipro ,drag,or revhard

 

i have a modified gsr kit with the huge intercooler on my ls motor which is in my '93 semi gutted hatch. i don't know the exact gains because i've never dyno'd it. but i rarely rarely ever loose a race. i just kind of ended up with this kit from a friend who wrecked his gsr so i am just kinda making do with what i got. i can't and haven't ever complained maybe because it's a hybrid app. sure i'll end up upgrading later though.

no IC yet the owner doesnt have enough money.

 

I'm running the kit on a '00 Civic Si, stock motor at 8psi.

The car runs sooooo smooth, quiet, and has great pull starting at 3000rpm. Anybody looking to make more than 300 horsepower, I'd suggest moving up to a larger kit though, like a T3/T04 based application. It seems that the 18G "runs out of breath" above 7000rpm.

Lots of midrange power. I'm very happy with it, and the craftsmanship is excellent.

 

it's a great kit. I had it on my sohc automatic. Before turbo i was running high 16's low 17's. When we put the kit on at 5psi, i ran a 14.9 at 95mph. I was very impressed.

 

Me too. I've got the Greddy manifold, TD05-18G, first part of the Greddy downpipe to 2.5 the rest of the way, XS Silvia IC, HKS SS bov, and custom piping all going on a B18C1 in a 91 HB in a few weeks. I think I'm really going to like the lowend this turbo provides but I'll probably ditch it when money permits a standalone and a bigger turbo.

Love it, every second of it. The internal WG is awesome, the turbo spools so fast, and sounds so good. The turbo is a little small, but when you spool @2500rpm, it really makes up for it; especially for daily driving. Now I just need a bigger DP and 3" exhaust and I'll be set...
