In my P8R thread I noticed oil upon start up and while engine was warming up. I immediately thought it was guides and seals.
The head was rebuilt at a reputable shop in the past.
I dis-assembled the engine and found oil in all intake runners (no PCV hooked up) and also the intake ports. The exhaust side ceiling has 2 trails of silver leading right to the bowls in cyl 2 & 3.
I bring into shop about an hour ago and the owner who knows me (as ive brought this head twice and another head in the past) started talking.
He pressure tests all the ports and they check out fine. We pull some valves to see if theres any play and theres none.
I gave him SuperTech bronze guides and seals to install ($125 with new valve job) but I still have no clue where the oil is coming from.
My set up is a High Comp B20 with venting off back of block.
OEM HG
ARP studs
Any help would be appreciated.
Cliffs:
Smokes Blue on start/warm up
Pressure tested ports for leaks in valves- no lleaks
Oil on intake runners and ports
Cylinder walls look fine.

Oil control rings?
If i have to pull the pistons, then Ill do it.
They are new rings clocked to endynes specs.
Compression rings set to .012
oil control set to .016 or .018 (i cant remember which)

Just chatted with my buddy who builds 700hp LS engines and he said the symptoms im giving (smoke on start up, Oil in runners, etc) is classic guide and seal issues.
Also said " how could oil come past rings, up into runners, against opposing high velocity incoming air. It would be consumed before it gets past a valve."
This guy went to Detroit to GM performance training school to learn to build GM engines.
