Default 89 with b18a1 new problem arises

Oks o got my new tranny in and everything blah blah I took the car for a test driver it was running good then when I was at a redlight I started going and the car started bogging and staying stuck at like 2k rpm then I gave it a little more gas and it just felt like i hit vtec but anyways enough joking it happens in every gear it doesnt matter what rpm as soon as I start "cruising" keeping the throttle in the same position its like it fighting itsself then I give it a little gas it will starts backfiring like crazy and then start going normal. It goes through high revs good "racing" but cruising its just terrible its just fighting me. I already have the idea of the distributor, just want to see what HT thinks about this.

Could be some timing issue. It's got a problem at part throttle, that's weird. No CELs make it hard to really say whats wrong. I'd check the basics out. The little things. Maybe you need a tune up, new plugs, wires, cap ect.

Are you thinking the distributor is bad or that it is turned too much one way?

Ok well I checked dizzy cap and rotor looks good but the coil looks all rusted out im pointing now towards the dizzy being the problem. The tps is good and calibration is perfect.

Then it will jump and go really fast, it will keep doing this until i turn they key off and back on, then sometimes it will be fine for the rest of the day sometimes it will happen again in 5minutes. Its not a consistent thing ( this is the weird thing ).
No need to make a new thread. I'm still thinking and researching myself. You should do the same, maybe bump this thread with an update if anything.

It's not a constant problem so it's harder to troubleshoot. You have to have it acting up and then test things.

Also new update on this, I realized in the morning when I turn my key to let the fuel pump prime I dont hear it like I use to hear it. Im not even sure if its working cause I cant hear it all I even put my ear as close as I could and still nothing. Car runs fine though drove it to work ( im here now ) with no problems. Could it be fuel pump is taking a crap?

It probably wouldn't drive if it was a bad fuel pump.

Do you have an an adjustable FPR? Sounds like you could be running rich. What do the plugs look like?

Nope OEM FPR and ok but is it weird that I cant hear my fuel pump priming anymore? I still havent replaced the filter cause been working the last few days but when I get my day off I will and ill give you more updates. Also last night when I was driving home my key shut off trick to fix the problem wasnt working it was the first time that it was becoming constant. Also I realized I know how to tell when its starting to happen. when i come to a stop the idle drops to like 200-300 and I already know when I leave the light its going to start bogging and stuff. Im just trying to find the problems while im driving and what may be causing it
