Default New project. Need direction.

OK, I just got done doing a ZC swap in to my REX and am ready for the next level. Right now I'm looking for a 88-91 SI H/B to do something with. I'm on a limited budget so somewhere around $1200.00 or so is what I'd like to spend on engine mods for the new car. I want something fast yet reliable. Something faster then the ZC'ed REX I have now. So what do you all think? Add a REAL suggestion if you like!

If youre gonna build another project car why not get something lighter like an HF CRX or standard hatch. The Si HB's are kind of heavy. If youre going for comfort though, the Si's are just a tad more comfortable. I say you build the ZC or turbo, youve already got the base done now build off of it!

My signature didn't show up but right now I have a CRX HF with a ZC. I was looking at the SI for the trany/hubs/brakes....something the HF didn't have. At this point whatever lady luck hands me, I'll take. I love my REX and will keep it for a while but I want a hatch to do some moding with as well. I love the way they look. If I got the SI I could just turbo that, but who knows....

you are better off dumping the $1200 into your current car than getting another car as a project.

just my measely opinion.

ditto, if you had a reasonable ammount to spend like 3-4 grand, it might be worth getting another car. 1200 could do wonders to that ZC in your crx.
