i had 10 w30 motor oil in my trans for a few months because i didnt like penzoil synchromesh anymore and it shifted good. but people kept telling me that honda mtf is sitll the best and its from factory so just use it well i replaced it with honda mtf from the dealership and it shifted terrible grinded 3rd over 6k and was notchy 1-4 gear. so i put 10w30 back in it and now it shift good like before.

anyone else use 10w30 oil in the long term in 98+ integra trans without any problem??

 

Used it in my 94 gsr....I liked it better then the Honda MTF as you said it actually made it worse then before(at least for us). only down side is it's supposed to replaced at a more frequent interval but meh it's considerably cheaper.

 

does your gsr tran ever feel notchy from 1-2 or 2-3 shifts at higher rpm? i dont feel it as much with the 10w30 but still occasionally

 

My trans is on it's way out lol leaks so yes it gets notchy when going slow in 1-2 3rd grinds and reverse won't always go in
