Everyone agree that Honda trans fluid is the best?
I remember reading a post of an argument about Honda oil, motor oil, or penzoil synchromesh of wich was the best Transmission fluid to use in our Hondas.
I don't thing they came to a conclusion, so i figured id post here of what do everyone love?
I am aware that the trans usues an equivalent to 10w-30 motor oil in the trans.
So help me figure out what trans fluid I am going to buy today, please.

i heard, don't use synthetic in transmissions.. i just use 10w30 oil.. its not gonna make THAT much of a difference, except in the price you pay..

I'm going to have to go with synchromesh, used to use honda mtf but I found the synchromesh shifted a bit smoother. I've been using it for over 2 years without any problems.

Re: (suavacito)
For manual transmissions, Honda is great, Pennzoil (or GM) syncromesh fixes some grinds, its smoother.
DON'T put in motor oil in the gearbox, use tranny fluid.
DON'T use oil stabalizers, its 2006, there are no oils out there (cept crappy ones) that will improve the already mized lubrication you can buy.

Re: (suavacito)
Only use what the manufacturer call for. I bought a used GSR tranny that had been in a wrecked car from a local shop. I saw the original odometer and the car only had 43,000 miles on so I knew the tranny was good but Lucas screwed that tranny all to hell. When the shop got it apart they said that the oil I used 10w/30 was probably ok but the Lucas was so thick that the tranny had to work extra hard and ended up practically welding two gears together. It sucks I now have like almost $1150 in that tranny, hell I could have damn near bought a type-r tranny for that. So be careful.

i have used synchromesh(friction modified) for a year and a half in my type r tranny. no issues with the lsd and it shifts quite a bit better then when i had honda mtf in it. synchromesh has to be friction modified=winner
