So my car died out on me in the middle of the street yesterday. Check the engine and there is no sparks. Change the spark plugs and wires, change the dizzy, and now still car wont start. Could it be the ecu? Please help.

 

Is there a solid check engine light on? Was the car acting up prior to it shutting off or did it just suddenly die.

 

This is the first time I have problem with this car since I first own it. It never gave me any issues. CEL came on and showed a code 8. Had that fixed and still not starting.

 

Fuel pumps still priming when you turn the key? And you made sure to put the plugs back in the correct order right?

 

Yup I put everything back in order and now theres no spark.

 

will it crank tho ? or nothing

 

On the off chance it happened, did you check to see if the timing belt broke? The only other thing I can think of is the new distributor you got is also bad.

 

tested your sparkplug wires?
