Hi all, another newbie
Alright folks, I'm from the uk and have a 2001 honda accord SE Executive. It's my daily driver and needs to be as economical as possible as I do a lot of miles and it also has to cart around 3 sproglets and the wife so has to remain comfortable too. Basically it has to be a car that I don't want to admit to owning, to make this family mobile more tolerable I have fitted a straight through backbox and removed the mid box, I have also fitted a HKS mushroom filter. Now the filter did actually make a little difference but it's so damn loud it's coming back off and the exhaust is too boomy at cruise so I'm fitting a stainless mid section too.
The car is pretty much MINT and tbh I do like driving it, it's nippy, reasonably good on fuel and it looks good too. I will be changing the car over the coming months by lowering the snot out of it, fitting an adjustable fuel pressure reg so I can make sure the fuel pressure is bang on at 3 bar, cleaning the injectors with my ultrasonic cleaner and whatever else takes my fancy and will either make it more economical or more fun whilst retaining the economy.
I definitely have some questions I need to ask and I'm sure I'll be able to help some of you good folks as my history is in automotive tuning, building race cars and bikes and I've worked with the likes of jag, Aston, Ferrari & Nissan.
Rock on folks -
