Default is fuel pressure at filter the same as rail?

just wondering if the fuel pressure showing on my gauge mounted on top of the filter is the same as the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. i was thinking it should be but i wanna make sure so i dont get any crazy numbers when using rc-engineering's injector calculator thing on their website.
