My car would take a couple cranks to get started sometimes. Never had an issue with it not starting. I parked it for a couple of days and now its not running. Previous owner told me it was most likely the fuel pump but I figured it would not run at all if the pump was bad. I hear the whizzing from my fuel pump. I checked all of my fuses. Any ideas before I start fixing things that aren't broken? or any ideas?

 

check distributor they are notorious for going bad, did you check for spark?

A fuel pressure gauge would answer your questions, just install one permanently.

As mentioned, check for spark, use an HEI spark tester. 94

 

or go low tech lol.
i actually saw an integra with one.

 

I already have a fuel pressure gauge and it is showing low pressure. That is how i came up with the assumption that the fuel filter is clogged and i know that the fuel pump is ok. But i will check for spark first thing and keep this updated. Thanks i really do appreciate the help.

 

If u low on fuel pressure then it's probably ur fuel filter or fuel pump. Change fuel filter first cause they cheap.
