When I get over 35 mph my front end seems to shake. Almost like the wheels are unbalanced or uneven. i swapped the spare tire for each of the wheels to try to pin point of one of the wheels was unbalanced. but i still have the problem. im lowered and tires have some camber ware. Any ideas??

this is what happend
i drive home from school. got home everything seemed fine. left my house a few hours later start driving and it was shaking really bad. pulled over looked at the sway linkages. get back it it wasn't as bad. went home tightened all the suspension parts. my tires do have a little camber ware tho but i was driving fine on them fine before.

 

Are you using a camber kit>? That is the question.

 

Maybe something is loose.

 

does it change when you let off the gas?

 

only a camber kit in the back. and its less noticeable when i let off the gas. you can feel the shaking in the car, pedals, and steering wheel.

 

Got a back alley garage to balanced my fronts and shook like crazy.... took them to local firestone and they did the job right the one wheel weight was way off after they got done rides super smooth.. Might be something to look into.

 

did your car have the same symptoms?

 

and it wouldn't make much sense because ive been driving on these tires for about a year. did rotations and everything. and they were running smooth the other day..

 

Yep anything over 40-50 shook steering wheel pedals the works

Bent rim would diff cause this... bubble in tire??

 

Nothing unusual on the tires. Pretty much always have looked how they look so no unusual tire marks/ware beside the camber

 

I have a slight shake around 20mph, goes away around 25.
Started happening after both front axles were replaced. :/

 

so i did a tire balance and it really didn't help much..

55mph seems okay. Annoying over our while accelerating car shakes. What could this be? It almost feels like it shakes left and right. Could it be motor mounts? Help!? I need this car

 

tie rods are solid?

 

Everything seems solid

 

Only thing left I can see is an axle about to let go. How are the boots at the axle ends?

 

Also seems like it takes left turns without shaking. But while going straight or left it shakes

 

Have you checked the axle nuts to see if they are tight ?

How about the wheel bearings ? Grab the bottom, and top end of the tire and shake it back and forth to see if you have any play.

 

Axle nuts are in same position as always. Didn't get any odd play out off shaking the wheel.. this is driving me crazy!

 

I took the front driver side where off pushed and pulled at the axle. It was the problem.. I swear I checked that like 4 times. Took it apart. Bearing exploded inside. Replaced it everything is great now!
