Tranny noises...
Sup Honda-tech, I install a stage 3 ACT clutch just a while back with a Heavy duty PP and a 9lbs flywheel, it's all good until couple weeks ago I realize a squeaking noise coming from my tranny where my slave cylinder it's at... But whenever I tap or step on clutch the noises stop... Gearing is fine but when racing or shifting at high rpm 6.5-8 from 2nd to 3rd have a little grind noise and sometimes once in a while it'll be hard to put it into reverse and take it out of 4th gear. Could it be my bearing? when I install I grease that **** but idk if it's cause of it dries up or something...
Sounds like an Input Shaft Bearing from what you describe. No fun, very costly, hard to replace.
High torque pressure plates put additional strain on the internals of a transmission on engagement/shifting.
It really depends on the noise though, it could be the TOB. Honda once opened up my slave cylinder clutch cover (rubber boot) and sprayed WD40 into the clutch housing to 'fix' the TOB. It might be worth a shot and will at least let you know if the squeaking is internal or external to the transmission.
