intake pipe shape effect on power

how does the shape of intake pipe affect power
an example:
b series motor with side throttle body and intake pipe is shaped like S or C or any other shape
then going from flat (oval) pipe to round of same diameter.
I know straight pipe would be ideal I just couldn't find much about how different bends and shapes affect airflow entering the throttle body(velocity and volume)
for example the k vs b series intake manifold
the airflow in b series manifold is more like S shape where k series is more C shaped path from plenum to cylinder.
I know theres mathematical terms for those but its been a while
