so I bought a gsr head and it came with an ls vtec kit. I also bought a gsr bottem end. however the bottom end doesn't have the oil cooler attached. so will the ls vtec kit work in place of the oil cooler even though both top and bottom are vtec . or do I need a gsr oil cooler? p

 

obd2 gsr didn't come with an oil cooler anyway.

 

where did you get the head?
i'm starting to think it's time for a new one.

 

is the bottom of the head plugged? if your running a gsr you don't need a ls vtec kit, take a pic of the back of the block
