highway RPM?

Icon2 highway RPM?

i have a 04 VP coupe 1.7L auto 4 and im at 3k rpm at 76mph.
is this norm. or is there higher gears in my trans.

i just bought it by the way and the trans was replaced with a used 05 per the vin plate on the trans.

sounds right. my buddies 5spd ex ek runs 3k@70 so few more mph with tcc lock up at same rpm sounds right to me

o ok thx.
i just thought that was high as my 06 eclipse gt runs at like 2300.
just think, if the thing ran at around 2500 at highway speed how much more mpg we would have.

It doesn't work like that. The guys running B16 trannys with LS 5th gears to drop their cruising RPM in 5th usually end up getting worse mileage.
