Default 1996 with a VSS problem

Is there any way I could have damaged the mechanical part of the VSS by changing a clutch? I had a hard time getting the tranny back on, and once I did, the VSS hasn't worked since. I took the sensor off, and was about to buy another one, but it just seems odd to have went bad just sitting there.

My speedo and Odo dont move but my tach does, and I verified its not the gauge by datalogging. Hondata says the vehicle is always moving 5mph.

What do you guys think?
Is there a way to test this guy?
Could I have broke something or misaligned something trying to line the tranny back up?

Thanks guys

Pins look good.

While the car was down getting the clutch installed I also swapped out the ecu… Could it be the ecu?
