I have a 90'Teg w/ Manual Trans and i just put in a 95 LS engine (B18). So the engine runs strong on the freeway, once i get into town it idles at about 500rpms to 100rpms and then dies (sometimes). Any ideas what i should start looking at?
This is happening a lot with Integras and civics. One of the main components that regulates proper Iidle is called iacv (air idle contol valve) located behind your intake manifold held by 2 bolts. When this valve is dirty or solenoid is faulty the idle goes crazy. Just dealt with this issue myself on my 96gsr. Swapped the iacv for another one and got my computer re-tuned. It drives better than it ever did. Hope this helps.
I had the same problem with my DA, it wouldn't hold an idle and just die. It ended up being the vacuum and it needed to be replaced, so yeah I would look into that.
