Starter Ground
I recently purchased a EG hatch that has been GSR swapped. Was having a starter issue and decided to replace it. The new starter did not come with a ground connection. Has anyone else seen this?
The starter grounds through the casing which is bolted to the transmission. The large cable on the transmission itself then grounds that to the battery.
Maybe you are referring to the start signal wire with the spade terminal. That is required to actual trigger the starter. If the new one is missing that then bring it back and get another.

Thanks for the replies.
When i removed the starter there was a bracket off the top of the starter with a ground coming off the chassis, which is where the battery ground is connected to. I figured this was normal. I'm finding tons of things that are apparently wrong. I will move the engine ground to where it should be.

that ground is correct, however, I removed the bracket to clean up my bay and placed it on a bolt on the transmission. I think I have it bolted to a bracket for my clutch line. As long as it's bolted and grounded to the transmission, your good to go.
