thanks man fired it up today so far sounds nice.
what exact setup you had on that tune?
man it feels damn good to drop in a bone stock engine.
when you start it you don't hold your breath waiting for something to blow up...
it just fn starts with no bullshit

97 b20b with 103k miles from a junkyard. it was not taken care of by previous owner so i eventually took it out in favor of my lsvtec. i really dont think the old owner ever changed the oil the piston rings were a sludge fest.
it had an obd2 ls intake manifold and throttle body, some ghetto short ram intake, edelbrock 4-2-1 header and somewhere in there i went from stock exhaust to a 2.25" catback. the only thing internal i did was put in an obd2 ls intake cam. before that it was pretty flat above 5500 rpm, the cam just made it not fall on its face. it didnt make it much faster. consequently keep an eye on the afr above 5500 if u still have the b20b cam the tune might be like half a point rich.
yeah anyway it was street tuned using a wideband and egt gauge. just keep an eye on the afr, and check the plugs on occasion to make sure the timing is right on for your particular motor. every motor is different. lastly, i would run 93 in it from time to time, so maybe worst case you pull like 2 degrees and use 87 or whatever they got in your neck of the woods.

i think i was only able to find 1 stock b20 map somewhere when i was looking, and it had a disgusting amount of timing in it. i think most people start with the p75 map and just add some fuel for the increased displacement

blackeg why do you have it idling so high?
stock b20 idle is 750 I set mine at that and it is doing good
I ended up with a b18b basemap afterall and set the fuel multiplier at 7 with few minor adjustments its very close to where it needs to be

i usually set most of my cars to 900 to 1000 rpm. that extra 200 rpm dont bother me at all and i can spend time messing with other parts of the map. some people freak out about it idk why...
