I would really appreciate some help. i just pretty much finished up putting in an ap2 cluster in my 97 ek hatch. The speedo is not accurate at all once i past about 15mph and my temp gauge just stays completely full.(see picture) i have a wire worx kit, ect converter module and a speedohealer v4.

im wondering what are the two extra male connectors coming out of the ect converter? is that why my temp gauge is just reading its all the way hot?

second, the speedohealer just blinks numbers and letters, but doesnt stay on so i cant set it?? it just blinks numbers then turns off.

hope someone could help me out.

Are you using the plug and play harness or did you follow a write up somewhere?


Also, did you buy this from someone you knew or from an ad?

could there be a possibility the cluster was messed up from the seller?

did you see it work properly when you bought it?


Im just trying to narrow down the if's,and's & but's

 

yeah i know what you mean, andyeah everything should be working perfectly fine. i just drove to school today and changed the 12v constant power wire to connector B. the mph is only about 5-10 mph off going closer to ten as u increase speed to about 70-80 it would read around 60-70.

also when i connect the constant battery 12v line, to connector A, the ect blinks the red light automatically, is that okay or is that draining battery?

 

I can't help you fix it but I have a sk2 ap2 cluster in my EG the temp doesn't work at all the gas was acting funny an the speed wasn't reading either.Funny thing is the mph now reads it seems fairly accurate but it makes a funny sounds from the cluster every little while an gas seems to be reading some what accurate now to.For the temp I'm planning on putting a autometer gauge to know how hot or cold my car is.

 

yeah i was thinking of that but i know its going to annoy me in the future. i want everything to by fully functional. everything is point on except temp gauge and mph. more worries about my temp for now....

I contacted wire worx and they havent email me back. im doing research as well trying to figure this out, im not trying to get spoon fed, i just need some help.

So if someone can just throw any advice or get a convo started i would appreciate it.

anyone in the bay area know a plac i can go to get some help? i just need somone to help me tune the speedohealer to be accurate and to fix the temp gauge. i played with the speedo and looked up on heal tech how to program it but my speedohealer does not do what the website says it should do but it does work... the temp gauge, when the red light blinks on the ect module the temp gauge is completely lit up, and when i reset it it goes to half, but the light stays on instead of blinking.

any suggestions?
