hey i just bought one of file to fits dIY map limiter to run DSM injectors on my 89 civic hatch, anyone have any idea where the wires go ? i know they go on the map sensors but which ones ? im acutally asking for a friedn i havent go to look at it yet.t hanks !!

yeah but i figured maybe someone else here is using his circutb oard etcc and knows where the wires go etcc .. i have IMed him but if i can get a quicker response from here then woohoo .. cuz i need to install it in the morning

OK usually I use the wire colors yellow, orange, red, black. Those colors are listed from left to right, with the components on the board facing up and the wires coming off the board on the bottom.
Yellow = output, orange = input, red = +5 volts, black = ground.

If I didn't use those colors, the order from left to right is the key.

There are three wires going to the MAP sensor. One is a constant +5 volts, one is ground, and one is the signal wire that sends the MAP sensor pressure signal to the ECU.

On my car (a 90 ghetto POS 'teg) the +5 volt wire is yellow and red. The ground wire is green and white. And the signal wire is white.

Cut the signal wire. Attach the part that goes to the MAP sensor to the orange wire, this is the MAP sensor input to the circuit. Attach the part that goes to the ECU to the yellow wire, this is the circuit output to the ECU.

Tap the +5 volt wire and attach the red wire to it. Tap the ground wire and attach the black wire to it. By "tap" I mean strip the insulation but don't cut the wire.

You can install the circuit anywhere along the three MAP sensor wires. I have mine in the engine compartment but it's probably safer (less chance of oil and water spillage getting on it) to operate on the wires near the plug to the ECU.

The picture is a little confusing because the colors aren't in the order that I describe. But the labels are correct.

 

can someone explain what parts i need to buy and a brief assembly for a first time circuit board maker. im ok with the soldering (i hope), but people are never specific with the type of resistor or pot. i guess the lower the tolerance the better?
