Default Considering H2D/F2D. Veterans please chime in!

Hi.

To give a quick history, I have a '93 del Sol Si with a d16z6. This past spring I upgraded the suspension, brakes and did an auto-to-manual swap (S40B000 from Japan) and had a Quaife LSD installed. It's not a daily driver. I take it to autocross and a few time attack events. My plan for the season was to get comfortable with the driving characteristics of the car. So far I love it. I wanted to build the car to corner and brake well before I spent money on making more power.

Now I'm looking for more power... The motor only has 160,000kms (100,000 miles). The previous owner had it for 16 years and drove it next to never, but it's burning oil and I'm pretty sure I saw a puddle of oil forming under the car this morning :/ Perhaps a seal?

I've considered rebuilding the motor for a high-comp NA or for boost. I've also considered doing the predictable b-series swap (although I'm intrigued by the simple yet effective B20 swap). But I'd like to try something different. I already spent some cash on the transmission in the form of a Quaife LSD. I'm also considering an M-Factory 4.9 final drive and maybe shorter gearing.

Based on some of the research I've done, I'll need the H/F motor (duh), the adapter plate (I could have sworn Bisi sold the H/F2D but can only see the H/F2B on the website), the conversion mounts which I believe Bisi sells as well, the Bisi crank pulley and will have to remove the timing cover. I also believe that there will be a clearance issue with the hood that requires the webbing to be cut and have the hood lifted a little - but not sure if that only applies to the EG/EK's or if the del Sol as well.

I'm not looking to be spoon fed info from those who've already done the hard part of researching and swapping, but a little would help a hell of a lot. Between work and family, it's hard to find the time to put the notes together (I can already hear the world's smallest violin...).

Veterans of the H/F2D swap, please share your knowledge! In the meantime, I'll keep researching.

Thanks.
