Im trying to lower my del sol alot and shes gonna be sittin on 195/50-15s and i wanna know if removing the inner wheels wells and lowering plus camber will be enough to fit the wheel slightly up into the car, or if ill need to do something about the fenders, PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

uhm... what wheels are you putting on? Specs? Offset?

 

diamond steelies challenger 15x9, and i guess a +15 offset, I love the hybrid racing del sol that they built, and im basically trying to do their stance setup on mine

 

195 on 9" wheels is death.

 

 

yea... 195's on a x9 is too much of a stretch. Go 205's maybe.

Also, can't you just check their suspension setup from their site?

well even with 205s, im still gonna have trouble with the 3-3.5" drop

 

roll your fenders for sure. why don't you just wait until you have the wheels and tires on the car to see if you need to remove the fender liners? the fenders in the picture you posted don't look pulled either, so i'm assuming you'll be able to fit the wheels with skinny tires and negative camber.

ya they dont look too pulled, but they definitely are, i just need a good place to take them, i love the slightly wider look

 

Get em rolled for sure, pulled possibly. Many shops do fender rolling now, if you can't find... then use Craiglist. There's a lot of people offering that service on CL. If all else fails, do it yourself. Rent out a fender roller or something, but please don't use a bat.

 

hahaha, i dont have the time or the resources to go out and do it myself, so ill try to look for a body shop and i guess either take them the wheels or pictures and show them exactly what i want done, any idea on pricing?

 

I got mine rolled by some dude.. he added the rolling on top for a trade on some wheels.. but he did a crappy job. When I went to get my new wheels put on at the shop, it wouldn't fit right. They re-rolled it for $150... kinda expensive, but I was desperate at the time. Where you located? A friend of mine found a guy on CL that did $20 a fender and so on... you just gotta look around.

 

Why don't you email hybrid and ask for help on what they did?

 

ya my budgets slow but big, so ill look around for some shops and try to get some good work done

This thread needs to be moved to GDD, no reason ever to put 195 tires on 9 inch wide rims. That kind of crap is unsafe and can hurt others.
