Help car won't start (rebuilt motor)
So I rebuilt my d15 due to the valves and rings finally giving out and smoking like a chimney. Everything is back on and in the car but can't seem to get the motor to fire. I took my sweet *** time rebuilding this thing so possibly some sensors could have gone bad, but I'm kinda lost.
There is a lot of fuel and spark going into the motor and timing and firing order of the wires seem to be correct so what gives? The starter is working perfectly fine as the motor is turning over but not firing. What does happen on occasion is that the motor will back fire through the intake manifold (I know not good lol). Can anyone point me into the right direction? Thanks in advance for all the input.

Also ECU Code #10 is being thrown. Before the rebuild the car was throwing this code but still ran fine. I did switch up the plugs for the Intake Air Temperature Sensor and Electronic Air Control Valve per suggestion on this thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/1991-crx-d15b-ecu-code-10-14-a-2843993/ but still no go.

if you have fuel and spark and your timing is dead on the car should start, unless you have no compression. Have you done a compression check? Did you do the rebuild yourself? Is it possible that one of the rings moved and the gaps are lining up and not building compressing? Just a couple of thoughts.

Going to be rechecking the grounds this weekend and will report back. Thanks for you guy's help so far.

Timing looks right, but if it's back firing through the intake manifold the timing can't be correct can it? I've worked on way more complex motors and this little guy has me stumped lol
