Help! 02 RSX Type-S
I recently picked up my car from getting the clutch replaced. When I got in I noticed the charging system light was on but didn't really think much about it bc I knew the battery needed to be replaced. Well the next day I went out to take my gf to work and it died on me. I got it to restart, I got about a mile from the house and it died again. Got it home and replaced the battery and it started right up, I thought it was good. Went to go pick her up from work and it died about 200 ft from my house so I pushed it back home. So I've checked everything except the starter, all the grounds are good, the alternator is good. So am I missing something? Is the starter to blame?
It really couldn't be the started.. once the starter starts your car it doesn't do anything else.
My guess would be either a loose wire, a bad wire, or a bad battery/alternator which can be tested by going to your local autozone/O'Reily or Advanced auto.

That's the thing, the wires are good, the battery and alternator are brand new and tested good. Yes, the starter can cause a drain if it's dragging the flywheel
Is the alt light still on? Also call dealership to see what actions during the clutch replacement could have caused the problem. Cannon Plugs disconnected///wires pinched etc... After the car quit did you check the voltage of the battery? You need to know if it is discharged to start the troubleshhoting. If the battery stays charged then there could be issues in other areas such as fuel/ignition causing your car to shut off. For example a bad fuel pump/ignition relay will shut a car down after the relays opens after it gets hot. Once it cools off and resets the vehilcle will restart.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Yes, the light is still on. I haven't had much time to mess with it the past few weeks because of work/family and partially because I hate searching out electrical wiring.
It now will run and not shut off but it's still not acting right. The voltage doesn't jump when running, it just stays constant. I had a buddy come over and we spent a few hours troubleshooting. Battery is at 12.38-12.41 volts, had it tested twice it was good both times. Alternator was bench tested and everything was good on it. All grounds have been checked multiple times, We think it may have to do with a wire going to the ecu or the ecu itself (Hondata KPro). I'm just needing time to do it or to find someone to do it.

Its your ecu or a bad ground based off of the symptoms you explained. I would call the shop that did the clutch and if it hadn't been acting up prior to the installation be like fix it or I will sue you. I have worked in many shops from Midas to personally owned tuning garages. I can guarantee that they would rather take a hit of a couple hundred bucks of fixing something they possible screwed up as apposed too a lawsuit.
