Default Odometer issue, won't work

Tried two clusters and speedo works but odometer won't... I can't figure out why! Unless both clusters are broken, I dunno. Car is a 96 integra RS

Any advice would be great, thank you!

If the speedo works, I can't see it being anything but the cluster itself. 94

This literally just happened to me yesterday as well. I think what happens is that a pin or whatever is inside the cluster, gets sticky after a while with the old grease and
doesn't unlock.

How I fixed it.
While I was driving, I pressed the reset button again and it started working. If it doesn't work right away, try pressing it in different manners. Push in and quickly release so it snaps, push in slowly and release slowly, etc... Try different ways and hopefully it ends up working properly again.

Im going to have to try that again, I've done the push in and quick release and it started working on my 97 LS, next day it stopped working. I sort of punched the odo before it worked, next day it stopped. I had it working for 1000+ miles earlier this year without resetting the trip odometer, then my sister drove it, got gas, reset the odo and it has sporadically worked since.

Stopped at 229k reported miles heh, probably has like 240 to 250k realistically.

Not exactly the same as an Integra but this was done on a CRX.
*DO NOT USE FOR FELONY CRIMINAL TAMPERING.
How to open up Odometer on CRX
If you could do something similar to this on the Integra cluster and write a how-to, that would be awesome! Good luck.

I really don't wanna mess up my cluster and rip it apart, haha... I tried the button thing, it moves slightly, but that's it.

a guy on this forum, http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=757772 seems to think that its a problem with solder connections... what are the odds two clusters have bad connections? I guess its worth checking out though.... I mean I do have an extra cluster now, but it doesn't read water temp... so if I f it up, who cares, lol
