My 90 CRX DX has a new (200 mi) engine D15B2. I pulled the spark plugs today and one of them had a little bit of wet oil on the threads, not the tip. The tips of all the plugs were a whitish grey dry coating. Look to be running a bit lean. I did a compression check and all cylinders were good. Cleaned and reinstalled plugs. Also advanced timing a bit since it seemed a little retarded. Any idea where this oil could be coming from? Valve cover seal or...? Thanks.

 

either your upper or lower spark plug tube seals are going bad

the lower ones on my b7 are bad and have oil everywhere in the tube...i need to fix it
