95 ls 5speed problems? ???

Default 95 ls 5speed problems? ???

OK i have a 95 integra ls i have several problems with the trans need a bit of help it's. a 5speed when i start it up and let it sit in neural it makes a slight grinding noise very faint when my foot is off the clutch and when i drive it when the car has sat overnight it shifts threw all the gears fine but when it gets warm it likes tho grind in 3ed if i don't slam it in also my shifter has a lot of play in it i did the rubber bushings but that did not help is it a shifter bearing.
also i would like to know if i get it rebuilt can i put a LSD in it and gsr sync rows in it seeing as there stronger

With the shifter play, do you know if your "b!tch" pin is in the shift lever that connects to the back side of the tranny or just a nut/bolt? Without that pin you could get a loose feeling shifter.

yes, the bitch pin that holds the shifter to the trans needs to be TIGHT, if you use a bolt it will have a lot more play in it. And I do not believe you can use GSR synchros in an LS trans.

Contact Synchrotech for a rebuild kit. If your going as far as adding an LSD into the trans, you might as well Spend around $800 for a FULL rebuild kit from these guys

pin is tight so tight i can't get it out and is the bottom of the shifter need a bushing

I have found that if you use a bolt that hold the AC pump on, its a long bolt, and hold it with a pair of vice grips is an easy way to knock the pin up and out. it fits perfectly up thro the hole and is long enough to give u room to hold it.
