need help with 94' Accord ignition
Help!! I got the electronic ignition module from the dealership for my Dad's 94' LX. I removed the two screws from module on the drivers side and somehow managed to remove the third screw from the rear on the passenger side(of the steering column). My problem now is that I cannot remove the ignition module. The little tab where the screw is on the passenger side of the steering column, wont clear the column itself when trying to remove the module. I see that the whole ignition switch assembly bolts around the steering column, but there is no bolt head or screw slots. Am I supposed to chisel the head of these bolts to use a flat head screwdriver?? Am I missing something>?? HELP!
you have to use a small punch and tap the 2 bolts that hold the switch in. they will come out rather easy when you get them to move. they are break-away bolts from the factory, your dealer should have new ones in stock or just re-use the old ones, only tap them back in easy, they do not have to be real tight. once they are out, you can lower the switch to get at your wires.
