Need help with Ignition lock assembly removal
Ok so a friends 91 accord got broken into and they attempted to steal it. i need to know the easiest way to remove the old ignition lock assembly and replace it with a new one. i have heard things about break away bolts and what not i just wanna know how to remove those and the easiest way to get the new assembly on. thanks i tried searching by the way kinda of a hard topic to get resualts on thanks!

Before starting the R&R of the switch, it's a good idea to take the old key and the new switch to a lock smith.
Remove the steering column shroud, then you can look over the situation.
Remove the electrical part of the switch, and there is a wire connection to the key light; then up on top of the bracket you'll see the rounded off heads of the breakaway bolts.
I use a small sharp chisel & small hammer on the edge of the 'nub' to get it turning out. Another method is to drill into it and use an easy out or similar bolt extractor.
Honda dealers stock the breakaway bolts.
