Default Seized rear toe bolt

Anyone with this issue before have any insight on what they did to resolve this issue? Should I just break the bolt and try to break the welded on nut if I can get to it? Any suggestions and pictures would be greatly appreciated!!!

That's a common problem with hondas. If you have a torch, heat up the bolt, and with it still hot, it should come out. That normally will work about 85% of the time. If that does not work, then you will need to break or cut the bolt head off, and then break the welded nut off, and then you will need to put a new nut and bolt in.

I've had to do it before, and it sucks.

yup had the same problem. Had to break the bolt after the torch wouldnt work. Even tried the cold spray in between heating it to try and break the rust.

yeah heat is best, if you have it. otherwise soak in pb overnight, go back a few times and splash more if you can, hope for the best. this actually worked on my crv, other hondas and cars i have usually had worse luck. can also try impact if you have a really torquey one, might get lucky. then go find someone with a torch, or skip to drill.

grease the new bolt on the vertical lines.

is the bolt all fu(ked up? if not soak it with some lubricant..impact gun...go to a shop with an impact gun...tire shops...muffler shops...take it off and put it back with grease..that way you can take it off when you get home until you get a new one...

No...I took it in for an alignment and the shop wouldn't even work on it since the passenger rear was seized. They did the other 3 corners but not that side. They said they didn't want to be liable for breaking the bolt. I guess it's my turn to do the dirty deed lol. I've already soaked it 2 days in a row with lub, I'm gonna keep at it till Sunday and try taking it off...we'll see how that goes.
