I've been looking all over Google and using the search bar here and can't find a write up or any helpful info on replacing the automatic antenna for my wife's del Sol.

Is there one out there or should I do it trial and error?

 

Is it that you've tried and can't figure it out or have you not even looked? Antennas aren't hard. Probably why there are no write ups.

I got the chrome spin off price off, along with the black cover that holds it to the chassis. After that I'm stumped. Took the trunk carpet out to get to the mechanism but can't see where its bolted on or how to get to the motor. Even removed the inside panels in the cab and can't get to it from there either. Totally confused

 

Sorry,You have to get at it from inside. It makes it easier, especially in connecting the drain tube.

 

When I removed my integra one it was nestled in good get a flash light and maybe even a mirror to help you out.

 

My teg did that too. What I was told is the antenna needs a new motor. I never did it, so I don't know if that will actually help.. But that's what I was told

 

I already have the replacement with new motor and even new wiring harness and zip ties to hold harness in place. After feeling around behind the carpet I can't seem to feel a motor, just the antenna housing. Its starting to look like j might have to take it to my mechanic buddy
