2001 Honda CRV Code p0740
I just had the trans replaced. Getting a p0740 code. Does not shift right on cold start. After a couple miles, everything good. Not sure if that is related to the code or not.
Pulled from google: P0740 CRV... Took me to Honda-Tech
P0740 HONDA Description
The torque converter clutch solenoid valve is activated, with the gear in D4, by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the vehicle speed and the Engine Control Module (ECM). Lock-up piston operation will then be controlled. When the torque converter clutch solenoid valve is activated, the torque converter lockup clutch will engage creating a 1 to 1 RPM ratio between the transmission input shaft and the rotational speed of the torque converter.

A new thing started happening. In the mornings, the brake light will come on once I first start driving - like the E-Brake is on. I tap the break and it goes away. Could this be related? Re-Cap - just got a new trans put in and got a p0740 code. Doesn't shift for first 1/4 mile then runs fine. Reset code 2 days ago and has not come back on?
A death code for a Honda tranny . Not common for a Crv though . You could try and do a flush and clear the light . Im doubtful that will work though . New trans / torque converter will fix it .
