Another 2001 TCC engine code
Hi guys, I am new here.
I have had a code for the TCC for over 1-1/2 years. I did a transmission drain and refill 3 times as Honda recommends and used Amsoil synthetic fluid and yet the light continues to stay on although at times it will go off for a couple of days and then comes back on again. The transmission has never slipped or shifted odd ever since this light came on and it is used to commute every day. I am wondering if it could possible be just a dirty or bad solenoid? I know many people say the transmission is almost always bad (especially 2001's) but I find it odd it would go this long and this many miles if the transmission was gone.
Suggestions welcome.
Thanks
Mike

Have you checked the resistance between the terminals on the torque converter clutch solenoid? I am assuming TCC stood for torque converter clutch. The resistance should be 12-25 ohms per the manual. If it is ok you can connect the No. 2 terminal to the battery's positive terminal and the No. 1 terminal to ground. There should be a clicking sound. If not it needs to be replaced. Not sure if this is the cause of you problem but that is what I found for TCC codes.
