Icon2 Debugging my SRS light

Hello all,

I have a 1994 civic 4 door and have been doing some work to fix some of the little issues it has. This car has the red SRS light that wont turn off for some reason and I am trying to figure out my next action to take.

- I don't remember when the SRS light came on as this was my gf's car, but its been on a long time.

- I have tried the trick to reset the SRS by pulling the plug under the dash and creating a connection with a paperclip and following the sequence for turning the ignition on and off etc. I have gotten the SRS light to blink the way its supposed to during this sequence but the light stays on.

- I swapped the steering wheel for a newer stock replacement and took this opportunity to make sure the airbag is connected properly, all seems in order.

- The car has never been in a front end accident and the bumper hasn't been removed in the 8 years that we have owned the car.

- I have replaced the seats several years ago with some newer civic seats, the plugs for the seat belt sensors weren't plugged back in/bridged. Could this cause the SRS light to stay on?

Thanks for any help, I am not sure what to attempt next and that red light really bugs me, especially driving at night.

Jump the service connector to pull the SRS codes. This will tell you where the problem lies.
