Default SRS Light On And the ....

Now my horn is also not working. do the airbag system have anything to do with horn. I know of the way to reset the srs light but i was just wondering why the horn stopped working when the srs light popped up. Oh, and this is for a 96 civic hatch.

Rumor has it that any light constantly on in the dash means it needs to be serviced. How you service SRS Im not sure. try a dealer? Call em up as for the horn... no clue

Ding, ding , ding, Correct!!. Also known as a clockspring. The tip off is the SRS light AND the horn, they are both wired through the clocksping. Part should be between $80-100. I would reccomend having the dealership install unless you are really comfortable with working on explosive airbags.

Oh, yeah, sorry. The clockspring is in the steering wheel, behind the airbag. The airbags do not need to deploy for them to go bad, it is rare, but has been known to happen.
