Default FS: 1995 Honda Civic EX Sedan

**Vehicle, rims, and all spare parts SOLD.**

D16Z6 5-speed, ****Does not run, needs new engine or substantial rebuild****

Well I've owned this car since 2008 and it has 224,566 miles. It had been sitting for 15 months while I was in the military. Last Sunday it started acting up with a severe loud metal on metal knocking noise that sped/slowed with RPM. I took the car straight home and tried to figure out what was wrong with it and started with a compression test which was 191/190/180/182. The D16Z6 did have an aftermarket camshaft for the last 2 years in it so I swapped it back to the OEM cam, immediately upon trying to start it again there was some quick metal on metal noises then the crank just started free-spinning as if there was no compression. I did a compression test starting with #1 and it was 0, I moved to cylinder 2 and it was also 0 compression. At that point I stopped the test. I had already been planning on getting a new car so it's been sitting in my garage since and I have no intention to repair it or keep it.

The transmission is also pretty noisy in 1st but no grinding unless you've got the RPMs way up and going from 1st to 2nd. But I guess that doesn't matter since the engine's toast
It was in a minor accident a couple years ago but does not have a salvage title. It was pretty much cosmetic - not even airbag deployment, but the front bumper wasn't savable.. If you'd like pictures of the accident just shoot me a pm.

Now moving on from the bad stuff.
Other than that it has been a really good car and I've enjoyed it but I'm looking to move away from Honda's. I think it has potential as an engine swap candidate (maybe that B I never got to do) and with some body work it can have a second life.

Asking price: $1,000 AS-IS

Not interested in any trades. Buyer will be responsible for moving vehicle to new location, so tow it or bring whatever trailer you need to move it.

****Important notes, please read:****
-Regarding the wheels: They will be sold separately, I paid a little over $1k for this wheel/tire set and am willing to let it go for $500 or if you're only interested in the wheels not the car please let me know. However priority will go to the car buyer if they want them. You're welcomed to pick them up or meet somewhere public for the transfer. Serious buyers only please. One rim has some damage from a pot hole and another has small curb rash, other than that they've been well taken care of. They will come with the wheel spacers and wheel lock set w/ key (if wanted).
They are 15" 5Zigen FN01R-C on Kumho Ecsta AST 195/50/R15 tires.

-I am not currently parting out anything from this vehicle at this stage, I'd like to sell the car whole and be done with it.
-Registration is good until March 2014, vehicle cannot be smogged due to engine condition.
-I also have the OEM intake and header if wanted.
-It has brand new tint all around, the front windshield is also brand new. Rear window defroster doesn't work, it was damaged when removing the old tint.
-It also has a brand new Viper 3303V 2-way security system with some accessories.
-The JVC radio will be included with vehicle.
-I also have a 6k HID kit to go with it (not installed as I never got around to doing a retrofit).
-Battery is brand new.

This is the original hood, still usable, I went with the black one cause I liked the look better than just a black front bumper. Visible in middle image is the damage. Both will go with car or you can choose.

As it sits currently:

Body Damage:
I sanded this down and covered it in a light clear coat a couple years ago to stop the spreading but what's done is done. There's also a dent just above the rear windshield and driver side of trunk, previous owner damage.

Previous owner damage, I covered it with some touch up paint lol. It's not blatantly obvious in the daylight.

Rims and Tires:

I'd like to try to sell the car as whole at this stage, but if I decide to part it out I'll send you a pm first.
