Default Tires for my factory 14 inch rims

Yes, I still have the original rims from 1993 on my car. It's quite factory and after recently redoing it, I like it that way. Just one problem. The tire selection becomes a bit more sparse each year. The factory size is 185/60r14. I currently have Michelin Exalto's on it. Decent tire, but being discontinued. So, I'm considering something else. Maybe the Falken Ziex 912s. Happy to hear other suggestions.

Here are the driving conditions:
1. Completely factory 1993 Civic Si.
2. Never snows where I live (SoCal).
3. Mostly canyon driving.
4. Skilled driver, but not abusive. In 348,000 miles, I have needed one new clutch. My brakes last a long time. Still, I seem to drive faster than everyone but this chick in the neighborhood with a $140k AMG.
5. It's not quite price is no object, but I don't really care about $50 per tire difference if they drive well and last a long time.

So, what should I look at?

The general altimax is a good tire. They make it in that size.

Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec. Tire Rack still has some. You could also get BFGoodrich g-Force T/A in a 205/50R14, or Toyo Proxes R888's in a 205/55R14, but those are more track-oriented tires. They'll give you great grip, but they'll also wear out faster than your average tire.

Thanks. This does look like a good option. Researching now.

I'll second the General Altimax's too. I had them on my last Civic, decent grip and great in the wet. They do start to get a bit noisy after some time, nothing to worry about though. Just road noise.

Did you by any chance get them road force balanced? I am considering whether to do this. After 20 years, maybe a problem would show up with one of the rims.
