1. Pour in some engine flush, and run engine for 15 minutes, or as specified on the container.
2. Turn off engine, unscrew the oil sump plug, drain oil into a container. (Don't tip it into the drain)
3. Screw the oil sump plug back in, if you have a second car, you could get a new washer for it. If you have a torque wrench, use the correct torque.
4. Unscrew the oil filter, careful of spills, since there will be oil in it still.
5. Lubricate rubber seal on new filter with oil, screw in hand tight.
6. Pour in the new oil.
7. Start car, wait for the oil warning light to turn off, turn off the engine, then top up the oil level.
8. Leave car running for a few minutes, while checking for any leaks around the oil sump plug and filter.
Are you sure this won't void your warranty?

thanks for the reply ryan, but i was hoping for something more detailed with possibly pics or diagrams to lead the way.
since when does changing your own oil void your warranty? even so mine's a 98 and i'm the second owner, i think the warranty's a long way behind me now

WHy oh why would you use engine flush-silly.
Anyhow, the Hlem manual actually has some very good drawings in it.
You need to jack up the car (ramps work great too). Make sure the engine is warmed up and then let it cool enough so you don't get burned. You will need 5.1 quarts of new Honda or whatever 5w-30 oil you decide to use and a NEW Honda filter and drain bolt washer. DO NOT attempt to reuse the old washer. Also do not overtighten the bolt when you put it back on.
Follow the other instructions above. Remember that the filter has a lot of oil in it and you need to put something over the flex part of the downpipe (that braided looking thingy) so that it doesn't get soaked with oil.
Good luck and enjoy.
