Default Vibrations

ok, i havent been with my car for a while now... (need new liscense plates) and when i went to start the motor up for a bit, the motor started without a problem... BUT, the whole car was vibrating like a massive *****.
i thought that the car was having a little trouble cuz the weather was gettin a little colder, so i left it to get warm.
but even after my motor temp was good, my car STILL vibrates... and also when i press the brakes, the car sounds like its gonna die... the rpm dips down to like 600..... wth is goin on?? help!~

My vote's for the motor mounts on the vibrating... but I have no idea.

I have a vibration problem, too, though so I'm gonna just hop on here. There's a bad rattle between the metal and plastic panel next to the back driver's side seat. I had the panel off and had a friend look at it while I drove, but he couldn't figure it out. I know at least one other person has had this problem considering the reputation these cars have with vibrations, so can anyone help?

I have hasport mounts and when I start the car when it's really cold it vibrates a whole bunch... i hear ALL my rattles.

after it warms up.. not just motor but tranny oil and suspension does some flexing from driving it becomes a normal car again.

Everything on your car is cold and stiff.. bushings, motormounts...

My suggestion, run it for a while or go in a 100 mile road trip real quick and see how it is then.

i did warm up the car and also drove it around for 15 mins... i came back and the "shaking" was still there...
i can definitly feel it on the steering wheel... and my seat... its annoying...
ARGH..

A lot of vibration can also be caused when the polyurethane mount/inserts/bushings are used. Polyurethane is more rigid than rubber hence the vibrations.

I dont know... maybe i should have clarified it more... Every car has a "vibration" when the car is on, but my car is more like "shudders" and "shaking" especially when i press the brakes. its hard to descibe this... but im going to get it checked out at my local shop.

thanks for the suggestions

just pray that it's the motor mounts and not the flywheel.

So anyone know what's rattling in my car?
