So for years I haunted h-t before finally signing up when i bought my first si around '05ish. Finally signed up, went to meets, modded my car etc until I finally sold it in '09 to buy a pickup (made more sense as a surf enthusiast). Now I'm back! I just bought a 2013 Si and love it. Still loved my truck but my work moved and it was costing me too much in gas. So now i'm getting 30 mpg while still able to have some fun! Being out of the game for so long I feel lost. I know I can search for just about any answer to every question I have but I was hoping for something a little more personal. I'm currently looking into h&r sport springs for a lower nicer look without scraping on every bump on my commute to work. I like the way the 17's look but i'm curious about other size wheels. Anyone who's running 16's or 18's have any input? Sound also, I don't want anything obnoxious, especially since it usually doesn't add the intended power anyway - soo intake enough to give it a little extra throaty noise or should I do some cat-back setup?

16 are way too small... 17 is really the way to go.

I would get a wider tire like a 225.

Intake and exhaust will waken the car up a lot and you will be happy with the performance gains.

 

thanks for the input. i'm mostly going for a nice stance with a decent sound and a little getup. nothing insane, still needs to be driven daily and don't need any more reason to be pulled over on the highway
