94 EX Warm Dies and No Restart
Ok, basics - 94 EX 1.6 Auto, 250k miles. Yesterday while riding down the road car loses total power (no throttle response period, in drive or in nuetral). So I coast into the parking lot and turn car off and then try to turn back on no response what so ever. Leave the car and come back three hours later only for it to start right up. Great! Not... Drive five mins down the road to work and park for about 5 mins and let car warm up, decide to turn it off and wait for my bud to get there and car won't restart. Ok, so here's where we are at: I haven't had time to check all the normals as I work 11 hours a day and today I will be having a chance to, but I was curious if anyone had a good generalized area or a familiarized problem in the same area to "hopefully" narrow down my search quicker. I'll start with the tree - Air, Fuel, Spark and work my way down thru process of elimination.
No CEL's (yes it works)
Car idles and runs perfectly fine down the road, it literally just wouldn't have any throttle response.. lymph mode maybe?
Car will turn over like no other just not crank
After 7pm central time i'll be back with a multitude of things i've went through to figure it out if i'm still dummified
Also, to note, car has had full tune up and full throttle body up cleansing and idle and throttle set
Thanks guys!

So when you say loses power do you mean it died or was it still running and not accelerating? When you turned it back on it didn't crank or anything?
I mean by loss of power, the rpms dropped to almost 400 rpms and when hitting the gas from little to full throttle there was absolutely NO change, thru it up into neutral and it dropped to almost nothing. So, I pulled over put it in park and turned it off and tried to recrank it and it would just turn over a bunch of times.
Update: I went out to the shop and hit it with the key and it fired up first time. Same thing it did after it set yesterday. So problem is persistent with being warm and causing an issue and it going away after car has completely cooled.

Fuel pump / main fuel relay, i've had a problem like this.
When i drove short distances and turned it off, it just wouldn't start again.
changed my fuel relay and everything is working again.
but yours sounds like its the fuel pump.

I was thinking the pump also, gets warm and doesn't crank. Pumps at least a cheap and semi-easy fix. Gonna pressure and prime check the pump if I can get it to act up tonight when I get off. Thanks War

And I think you mean that the starter cranks the engine fine but the engine won't start.
Ok thanks Ron! And yes I mean the car turns over and over and over but does not fully start! from what I've seen I'm pretty sure I can replicate the issue which I will be doing on lunch possibly!
