Hi Guys! I'm recently bought a Civic SI with 68 thousand miles and was looking for forums and found this to be the best one... just wanted to introduce myself and ask if you guys had any reccomendations on the best spark plugs and oil and oil filter, etc or maitenence tips. Thanks!

 

Best piece of advice I can give you about HT is to do some research first. IF after you have done some research you still have a question the responses people will give you will be much better. 99% of new members don't research anything anymore and just want the answers given to them.

Anywho, welcome to the site. Do you have any pictures of the SI? Personally I use OEM parts for my plugs, oil and filter.

 

If it's an 06-11 Si, I highly recommend 8thcivic.com . There is some good technical info there if you can weed through the BS.

Spark plugs should be good for 100k miles.

 

Spark plugs I would go with NGK or Denso...

As for oil filter I use the OEM japanese one. It's the blue one and not the oem fram crap!

For oil I use Motul 5w40 full synthetic. I have used it in my old time attack car and loved never looked back!
