Your thread title is how much boost before boom, are you trying to push the motors to its limits? You should be fine on 19PSI if your tuner knows what hes doing. What fuel are you are using is also one of the main factors of how much power your can or will make.
Why don't you want a boost controller?

i want to run in the yellow zone if there was such a graph, if it blows up just a reason to build it better, not saying that's what i want to happen tho, but im running 93 pump gas. I had an electronic bc fail on me and blow 2 rods threw my civics block.... kinda scared of them now.
Usually about 14 psi on stock compression with a medium sized turbo, 17-19 psi with 3mm head gasket, both on 93 oct. More with race gas or e85. And that's with an equal length manifold. A log manifold doesn't flow as well so youre not going to get that great of a number.
Most guys make anywhere between 450whp-480whp on 14 psi (30r or 35r) on the stock compression and equal length manifold, much less with the log. Drivability is great and very reliable set ups.

thanks for the input. I was stupid and completely forgot to put my map sensor in hahaha so im going back on the 8th of this month. I tool the 19lb spring out and put in a 12.1lb and also bought a aem electronic boost controller. hopefully its better then the one that failed on me before....... aem hasn't let me down yet tho. ill let yinz know how it goes and try to get a video uploaded. can you do that on here?<< noob to this site
honestly imo, the motor would be the last thing I was worried about, with a good tuner at the helm you should be able to max the charger out on your setup.
that being said what rear end/trans do you have in the car?
Also what fuel? pump gas your going to run out of steam around the 500hp mark unless you have water meth
I made 525whp at 14 psi on a gt4088r on e85 on a completely stock long block f20
