Default going b series.need help.

Okay so.I'm buying a b16a Sir 1 (88+91)
The engine was in a wagovan. And was later swapped out for a sohc d series.
The engine is being sold to me complete minus the engine harness and ecu.
There offering me a obd01 engine harness and a obd1 p06 ecu.
My question is can I use my obd0 engine harness from my d16a6 that's Mpfi
And my obd0 pm6 ecu .
Instead of needing that obd1 harneaa and ecu

You should be able to use the mpfi obd0 harness, but you will need to add in the vtec wiring, the extra o2 sensor wire, and the knock sensor wire. Also, you need a JDM B16 ecu, either PW0 or PR3

I was thinking it would work since its a b series obd0 ecu.
my main question is the harness if its plug and play.

The only thing that may not be plug and play is the dizzy. I think the obd0 b16 has is own dizzy plugs that are different from others. I think.

you need to run obdo for now. use your si injectors, and run the two wires in the bay for vtec to function and ride for now. the pr3 and pwo ecu's use the single wire o2 sensor but the stock manifold might have two sho you might have to run a 3rd wire in the car for that

I bought a pw0 ecu it has a "feel's" chip and my OEM exhuast manifold has 2 senors. so does this mean I won't need both senors ?
as for the fuel rail and injectors .
I'm looking at a ls b18b1 fuel rail.
and injectors that are obd0 from my d16a6. but would it need better injectors since its vtec?

also just to make sure the obd0 harness from my d16a6 si civic MPFI should work with the obd0 MPFI b16a? I have a guy who's going to wire in vtec for me.

you will know about the o2 sensor when you go to start it. as far as the wiring harness yes. the fuel injectors find the obdo ls the work the only difference will be 10cc nothing to freak out about

okay that's K's lewis.
my other cure problems are my shift linkage and axles.
shifts linkage is abit short I think or I'm placing wrong.
does anyone have the dimensions of the ef9 civic dimension lengths and the crx ef8 dimension legnhts.

the axles fit just the driver side when my suspension is bolted (upper control arm) it gets locked up. won't move at all!
so I anyone knows what's goin on also has the dimensions for the axles would be awesome including half shaft.

thanks ef-lovers.

Since this is the most recent post, I'll answer these questions.

The shift linkage is SHORTER than the B series shift linkage from an Integra. You can't hook up the D series linkage to the B series transmission.

The Axles out of an integra, as long as they are the same year as the half shaft, will work. You can also source the SiR CRX Axles. Which is difficult. But 90-93 DA Axles should work.

I'm getting ready to release my write up on the B series into EF swap. But until then, there are a lot of decent write ups around. Google away.

The obd0 B16 dizzy plugs are the same. Your axles are binding if you haven't removed the dust rings. You should definitely search some more as all this information is out there.
