Default car has power but will not crank

hello. I have a standard 1994 Honda civic hatchback cx. I was driving my car and parked it. when I returned it would not start. I have looked at it myself and am puzzled. I used a volt ohm meter and tested every possible fuse, and they are all good. when I turn my key to the on position, there is power, when I turn it further to the start position there is nothing and it will NOT attempt to crank. I jumped the started to start the car and it runs for only a few seconds and then it looses fuel pressure. I have to disconnect the battery and reconnect it again for the fuel pump to kick back on. any ideas? all help will be very much appreciated. thank you

Have you checked your relays?
look for any wires that could be grounding to the body.
Sounds like your electrical system is not getting power, specifically the ecm

yes. I have checked the relays, they are good. also I have checked to see if there are any open wires, there are not. so I do not believe that anything is grounding out to the body.

Did you check the voltage on the battery?

Hi, Have you checked the ignition switch because Honda have issued recalls in the past concerning this item.

the first part sounds like your clutch engagement switch. but the fuel shutting off seems like a seperate issue.

The voltage on the battery is good and before this issue the pump has always primed. I googled the clutch. I cant find where a rubber boot is suppose to be.
