Hi guys. I am in need of some direction with my build as i want to start over and do it right first time round as i have wasted time and money going back and forth with my build. I want to build a ride that i can take twice a year on the track and to a local show or so. i drive the car mostly weekends and once or twice a week so the build will not be one where the car is standing all the time. So what do i need help with? Is a plan to tackle the build. Where do i start for example engine then suspension and then where do i move to.

My current setup is
Engine:
B20b but will swap out to b16a
tranny s80 to s4c

suspension:
bc coilovers vs series

wheels:
work meister s1
dunlop tyres

interior:
double din radio
cup holders

exterior:
sir lip
yellow fogs
spoon mirrors
rear number plate garnish

So this is from what the car came and where it is now. Car was in two accidents as well so please if someone can help me plan my build i will appreciate it. thanks

Do you want us to drive it for you too? How about plan your OWN build and when you have specific questions you can ask for clarification? It's your car after all, not ours.

 

did not mean it like that i just want structure to how best i can plan it. i dont want you to tel me what to fit and when, i just want to have more insight to how i can go about it as this will be my 1st build and want to get it right 1st time round.

 

The best start is to find inspiration to build a foundation of plans on.

That's what I did with the 96-00 Civic Sedan thread, went through 2,000 pages and at the end of the week I had a lot more ideas !

maybe im not to clear. i know what engine i want i know what suspension wheels interior and exterior i just want to know where i start what to focus on 1st. dont want to mix the build up like spraying 1st then car must still stand and get the swap then car get scratched again.

why would you put a b16 in place of the b20?

 

something i always wanted as our south african version never came with b16 but came with b18. i then ran a baring knock and fitted b20 as that motor is half the price of a b16 vtec
