crank sensor on my CR-V
It's a '98 with a 2.0 liter engine, if that is important.
Also on a '98 CR-V, what are the common problems with a distributor ignition module that does not have a coil pack?

The sensor can be bypassed.. Look up "obd-1 swap in an ek"... If you go in the civic FAQ page here on Honda tech and then go to i believe "swap wiring" and go to ckf bypass. It will show you exactly how to do it.. It requires two wire splices at the ecu.
ckf trick saccord posted worked on my crv. I put a JDM B20 in it and JDM engines don't have the ckf sensor.
Now my only problem is a damn code for the damn evap system and a random cyl 1 missfire that happens like once every 2 weeks.

A lot of the JDM motors don't have EVAP systems since they don't smog like the US.
Your best bet especially if you have a manual is to use a JDM ECU or best yet just convert to obd1 chipped.
