Another thing, should I replace it? I heard that it can take a beating. It's not clicking when I'm rolling.

Also, when I lift the car up to where two front wheels are off the ground, this side the passenger side is the last one to raise up. It also sits lower compared to the driver side wheel; about an inch. What to do?

It appears to be the boot had just torn, remove the axle from the car and replace the boot.

Small Sledge or Pickle fork (ball joints)
Small sledge (tap the axle loose from the hub)
17mm wrench
Breaker
36mm Impact Socket (and someone to press the brake pedal, or your flat head against the caliper bracket/lug studs)
Dikes
Jack
Thick Long Neck Flathead Screwdriver

That's all you'll need.

Remeasure the vehicle height with someone in the driver seat and see if it still is off. If it turns out it is replace the spring and the shock since the shock is more than likely done as well by bearing the vehicle weight in such a fashion.

Actually you'll need axle grease as well. Instead of replacing the boot it might be best to just replace that axle as if you don't have all those tools and parts it might be less cost effective to just replacing it as a whole.

For me, I can just use a Pittman Tierod puller to pop out the ball joint and move the knuckle out of the way enough to just pull the axle completely through the strut fork without disconnecting the strut fork from the lower control arm, however this might not work on an oem axle since they appear to be bigger in size and might not fit through the strut fork. You just need a small crow bar to pop the axle out of the tranny.

I can replace an axle literally using this method in 30 minutes.

F' a puller. Big hammer to the flat spot near the top on the knuckle will pop the ball joint right out.

I can get rid of some anger AND have an axle swapped out in 10 minutes :p

And this is why I use sledges, setting up pullers and pickle forks take too much time. As long as you don't have horribly **** aim, a 10lb sledge will loosen almost any balljoint with ease. (With only moderate effort, not a SWING)

All you do is break the nut, undo the nut till it's holding by a few threads and Whack. Then go undo the nut all the way and get ready for the next one.

You don't need a 10lbs btw, a 4 will get you by perfectly.
